Trojan Records is set to release King Scratch (Musical Masterpieces from the Upsetter Ark-ive) -- the definitive collection of tracks from the fabled producer/artist Lee "Scratch" Perry and first major release since his death -- on Sept 2, roughly a year after his passing.
The collection will be available as a 4-LP/4-CD box set with an illustrated booklet and essay by Perry's biographer, David Katz, as well as in 2-CD and 2-LP formats.
This release not only marks the first anniversary of Perry's passing at the age of 85, but it falls on the weekend of London’s iconic Notting Hill Carnival, the first event since 2019.
